Since its founding, the majority of SAFE’s efforts have been focused on preventing CEMEX from developing a massive sand and gravel mine in Soledad Canyon. However, SAFE has also tackled other issues that would affect air, water, traffic and quality of life in northern Los Angeles County, including the proposed high-speed rail line connecting the Bay Area and Southern California.
